Radiator Core
RadiatorWhen kit instructions are followed to the letter, radiators and oil coolers texture details and core can be lost in the black or aluminium paint. Some creative painting can add lots of 'life' to these components.

For aluminium radiators and oil coolers, I wash the core with X-19 or XF-1 so it settles into the recesses and it really adds depth to the final finish.

For black radiators and oil coolers, drybrushing the raised surfaces with XF-63 or another dark, but not black, colour will also help to highlight the details on the parts.
