To post a wage entry for the employee, press the Wage Entry button in the Employee Information window. This will bring up the following window.
Click on
to enter a new wage entry. Enter the time period for the pay into the Date and To fields. Next, if the employee's salary is calculated hourly, enter the number of hours worked under the Hours field. The program will automatically calculate the gross earning. Next, enter the various deductions. Note that the fields from Tax to Other will fill in automatically based on information entered in Administration » Payroll » Setup. The Net field will be calculated as well.
Activate the Check box if the payment is going to be paid by cheque. This will generate a cheque in the database. (For more information about managing cheques, see Administration » Disbursements.) Overtime indicates that the payment is for overtime work; the amount of the payment will change accordingly.
Click on the
button to post this wage entry. This will record a payment to the employee in the office's ledger.
This contains information pertaining to the Staff menu item.
Contains information about the dentists that work at the site. This is where both background information and billing totals are kept.
Keeps track of all other employees at the site. Also, this function keeps track of employee hours, salary and wage information.
Use this option in the Employee Information window to set the salaries of on-site employees (excluding dentists).
