Choosing this menu item will display the following window.
Click on the
button to enter a new dentist information record. If you wish to edit a record, use the arrow buttons in the toolbar to cycle to the correct dentist and click on
.
Enter the appropriate information and click on
when complete. This will save any changes you made.
At the bottom of the window, there are more options about the dentist displayed.
The Cont. Education option keeps track of instances of the continuing education of the dentist displayed. Records of new journal readings, conference attendance, lectures and such are kept here.
To enter a record for a new instance of continuing education, select Add Record from the Cont. Education option. This will bring up the following window.
Click
to enter a new record of education, or
to modify the record displayed. First, enter the title of the course taken, then the date. Under Category, enter the type of course that was taken. Categories listed include lectures, self study, convention attendance, meetings and dental journal reading.
Next, choose the subject code from the Subject Code option. Enter the amount of points earned by the course and the number of days attended into the appropriate options, and the number of tapes viewed or articles read into the bottom right field. Check Speciality if this was a course about the dentist's speciality.
If you choose Records from the Cont. Education option, a list of all records of continuing education for that dentist will be displayed (see screenshot below).
The total points accumulated by the dentist is shown next to Total Points. To sort the list by date or title, click on the heading that you wish to sort by. To view a particular record from the list, double-click on it.
Next to the Cont. Education option, there is the Totals button. Clicking on it brings up the following window.
This window contains information about the current dentist's finances. This is updated with daily posts of the AR function. (For more information about this, see Daily Transactions under Administration » AR.) The billings made by the dentist are shown in the Billings row; billings made this month under Month and billings made so far this year under Year to Date. The Payments row refers to the payments made by this dentist.
To [manually] edit the information displayed, click on the button in the bottom left corner of the window. Type in any new data, and then hit the
button in the bottom right corner to save your changes.
Finally, at the bottom right of the Dentist Information window, there is the Billings Info button. This button will generate a list of billings. Clicking on it first presents a dialog box asking for two dates. Enter the date to begin compilation of the list into From and the date to end in To. Any bills made by the dentist that occur between these two dates will show up on the list.
This contains information pertaining to the Staff menu item.
Keeps track of all other employees at the site. Also, this function keeps track of employee hours, salary and wage information.
Use this option in the Employee Information window to set the salaries of on-site employees (excluding dentists).
Use this option in the Employee Information window to enter a wage for an employee. The entry will be automatically made out and recorded.
