How Do I...?

SALARY | WAGE ENTRY | BACK | DENTISTS

The employee database keeps track of all personnel (outside of dentists) that are employed at this site. Choosing the menu option will display the employee information window (see screenshot below).

Scrn: Employee Information

The record of an employee consists of their personal information, history and payroll information. Each aspect is kept track of in this portion of the program.

To enter a new employee record, click on the New button. Otherwise, if you wish to edit a record, you can click on the Previous and Next arrows in the toolbar or click on the Employee List button for a list of all employees to select the employee record that you wish to edit (see screenshot below).

Either double-click on the name in the list or select it and hit the Select button to display the record.

Then, click the Edit button in the toolbar.

In the spaces provided, enter information about the employee. Checking the Active check box will confirm that this employee is currently working at the site. Only active employees are included in the payroll.

Once you have entered the personal information, click on the Confirm button to enter it into the database.


STAFF

This contains information pertaining to the Staff menu item.

DENTIST

Contains information about the dentists that work at the site. This is where both background information and billing totals are kept.

SALARY

Use this option in the Employee Information window to set the salaries of on-site employees (excluding dentists).

WAGE ENTRY

Use this option in the Employee Information window to enter a wage for an employee. The entry will be automatically made out and recorded.
