VocaLinks SmartStart Office - for users of dictation recorders, and their transcriptionist
VocaLinks SmartStart Office is designed for professionals who record most of their dictation, and who work with a secretary or transcriptionist to produce final electronic or printed documents. Our VocaLinks Inc. speech expert spends a full day at the client's office. Roughly half of the day is spent working with the recorder user to get that person up to speed with their new digital recorder and the basic speech commands necessary for effective use of the NaturallySpeaking speech recognition software .
The other half of the day is spent working with the person who will be using Dragon NaturallySpeaking to transcribe the recorder user's dictation. Our speech expert will guide the transcriptionist through the process of connecting the recorder to the computer and using NaturallySpeaking to extract and type the recorded dictation. Emphasis is placed on the keyboard commands used to control the NaturallySpeaking playback feature and correction dialog box, as well as on the keystrokes needed to quickly move to and select passages that need to be corrected within a document.
VocaLinks SmartStart Personal - for individual speech recognition users who dictate directly into the computer.
VocaLinks SmartStart Personal is designed to help individual users become as productive as possible by using NaturallySpeaking to dictate text and to perform a variety of tasks while working at their computers. During this half-day session, our speech expert works with the user to install the NaturallySpeaking software, set up a user profile, and to familiarize the user with a wide range of spoken commands used to format documents, to navigate through documents, and to control various menus and processes within the of the Windows the computing environment.
VocaLinks SmartStart - Getting speech recognition users off to the right start
In our five years of experience with speech recognition products, we have observed that computer users who attempt to use speech recognition products without the benefit of coaching from an experienced speech recognition user often experience poor accuracy, and eventually give up in frustration.
On the other hand, speech recognition users who have enlisted the assistance of a speech expert gain a better understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of speech recognition technology, and are better able to refine their user profiles and speaking habits to ensure optimal accuracy.
Critics and end-users agree that the Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional series of speech recognition products are the best in the industry. Given the right combination of hardware, vocabulary information, and speaking habits, NaturallySpeaking users can achieve accuracy rates of 98% or more.
Our VocaLinks SmartStart Office and VocaLinks SmartStart Personal plans will help you increase your productivity through the effective use of speech recognition technology.
