Here's what SmartStart Personal
can do for you:

VocaLinks SmartStart Personal
For the individual speech recognition user
$999*

Our speech expert will be at your site for approximately four hours. One hour will be spent installing the NaturallySpeaking software and configuring your computer system. The remaining three hours will be spent working with you to create your User profile, build your initial vocabulary, and give you an overview of the basic commands and processes required for effective speech recognition using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

The SmartStart Personal plan includes all of the services described below.

*Outside of Ontario, additional charges will be added to cover travel and accommodation. Prices are quoted in Canadian Dollars.

On-Site Installation & Audio Test - Anywhere in Ontario
Our speech expert installs the appropriate NaturallySpeaking software, tests the capabilities of your sound system and the sensitivity of your microphone to ambient noises, and suggests steps that you can take to ensure maximum accuracy.

Speech Recognition Introduction
While on-site, our speech expert guides you through the process of setting up your first User profile, ensuring that the appropriate audio setup, vocabulary and speech model settings are selected to assure optimal accuracy and recognition speed on your particular computer. As well, we activate several optional features within NaturallySpeaking that can assist you in formatting and correcting your documents.

Vocabulary Build
We will also help you gather and process electronic documents similar to those that you intend to dictate, in order to perform a Vocabulary Build.  This process further enhances the accuracy of NaturallySpeaking by teaching it the context of your typical documents, and by adding newly found words to your standard vocabulary - before you even begin to dictate. As a result, NaturallySpeaking will be better able to predict the combinations of words that you commonly use in your dictation.

Toll-free Telephone Support
You won't always remember the best way to perform every task while working with your speech recognition software. We're here to help! In addition to your on-site setup and orientation, your VocaLinks SmartStart subscription entitles you to toll-free telephone support for 12 months after we install your NaturallySpeaking software.

Upgrade Notification
Speech recognition technology is evolving at a very fast pace. VocaLinks SmartStart will notify you of any NaturallySpeaking commercial upgrades released in the 12 months following your purchase, and will help you determine whether the upgrade is appropriate for you - based on the capabilities of your hardware, and the relevance of new features to the type of work you do.

SmartStart Discount Program
We want you to make the most of your speech recognition tools!

Many new users find that a follow-up coaching session one or two weeks after they begin to use NaturallySpeaking can dramatically improve their dictation accuracy and give them a chance to ask any questions that have arisen during their first few weeks' experience.

Our speech experts can also help users begin to voice-automate repetitive tasks during this sort of supplementary session.

All SmartStart subscribers are eligible for a 15% discount on additional coaching and customization services, and a 10% discount on additional software and accessory purchases.

Convenience, Productivity and Peace of Mind
That's what VocaLinks SmartStart is all about!
