Solid Vinyl Doors
from
Beyond The Screen Door
After years of building
Beyond The Screen Door from a small woodcraft shop into a modern
woodworking facility, we began looking for new challenges. And we
found the perfect one.
People have always had
a fondness for the welcoming look of a traditional screen door.
But in these busy times, they also appreciate the easy-care convenience
of vinyl.
Now you can have
it both ways. In 1999, Beyond The Screen Door succeeded in translating
the great look and charm of our wood door styles into a series of
low-maintenance screen and storm doors. Because they are solid vinyl,
these doors will never warp, twist or crack. The color won't fade,
the surfaces resist chips and dents, insects and moisture can't
damage it.
Here's how we did it:
Some door manufacturers
build with vinyl-clad wood components. Beyond The Screen Door uses
solid PVC extrusions, reinforced with galvinized steel sections
for consistent stability and integrity.

The distinctive decorative
elements of our vinyl doors are created with computer-controlled
routers following many of the same patterns developed for our traditional
wood doors.

We finish every
door with premium grade hardware fittings including solid brass
lockset, pneumatic closer. |

The completed
door is delivered with an aluminium Z-bar frame, complete with
weatherstripping and four hinges. It can be installed in either
left or right openings quickly and easily without trimming the
door. The Z-bar provides the allowances for accurately fitting
the width of your doorway, while the sweep provides a 1" allowance
for fitting the height. |
