Sony offers the WAVPedal Foot Controller and headset as an option so that transcriptionists can type while advancing and rewinding the recording with the footpedal. Recordings from the ICD-MS515 must be converted to 8-bit or 16-bit WAV format using the Memory Stick Voice Editor software the WAVPedal can play them back.
Some unique features of the ICD-MS515 include a playback edit function which makes it easy to correct your dictation on-the-fly, as well as incremental rewind to help locate specific passages in a recording.
