L&H Solution Series offers award-winning speech recognition software with powerful macros and data-handling capabilities.

Lernout & Hauspie (NASDAQ: LHSP, EASDAQ: LHSP), a worldwide leader in speech and language technologies and products, today announced the L&H Solution Series, a family of corporate speech recognition and productivity products designed to automate daily business tasks. The L&H Solution Series offers organizations the tools to quickly create, format, and assemble documents with the use of macros, dictation, and form filling software.
Featuring Dragon NaturallySpeaking® version 5 software, the series allows users to dictate into a PC or certified recorder for document or email creation. In addition, users can create speech-based solutions with the Microsoft® Office suite of software; create and fill out forms; retrieve, share, and manage information; and browse the Web. The L&H Solution Series also includes editions specifically designed to maximize the productivity of general business, legal, medical, and public safety professionals.

Built on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Professional product, Legal Solutions is a productivity tool designed for legal professionals. It combines L&H continuous speech recognition technology with an extensive and customizable vocabulary of legal terms that includes court names, case histories, litigation abbreviations, subdivisions of legal documents, Latin and French legal phrases, hyphenates, state names, abbreviations, and postal codes.

Built on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Professional product, Medical Solutions is a powerful dictation and productivity tool for physicians, physician assistants, nurses, physical therapists, medical specialists, academics and researchers, psychiatrists, psychologists, chiropractors, health insurance companies, malpractice lawyers, medical transcriptionists and medical students. It comes equipped with an extensive medical vocabulary, including medication names, medical procedures, diagnoses, symptoms and conditions, and common medical acronyms.

Built on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Professional product, Public Safety Solutions is a powerful dictation and report generation tool for transcribing dictated investigation reports, interview summaries, and other paperwork. Designed for investigators, forensic specialists, detectives, commanders, officers, and other personnel in public and private law enforcement, Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Public Safety Solutions, with a speech vocabulary of law enforcement and public safety terms and contexts, is easy to learn and integrate into established routines.
Product Availability
Dragon Naturally Speaking® Professional Solutions is available in World English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch. The World English products include L&H SpeechLinks and L&H Speech Docs Filler. The French, Italian, German, Spanish and Dutch editions include L&H SpeechLinks; L&H SpeechDocs Filler is available separately. The non-English products offer bilingual dictation capability, with English as the second language. Dragon NaturallySpeaking® Legal, Medical and Public Safety Solutions are available in US English only.
L&H Solution Series products are scheduled for availability November 2000, and are primarily sold through volume licensing agreements through L&H-certified Value Added Resellers (VARs).
