Dragon Systems® Announces Volume Licensing Program To Enable Enterprises to Easily Purchase Large Quantities of Speech Recognition Products and Services
Program is Part of Overall Dragon Systems Strategy to Expand the Availability of Speech Technology to Large Organizations
NEWTON, Mass. - April 27, 1999 - Dragon Systems, Inc. today introduced the Dragon Volume Licensing Program that enables large organizations to easily make purchases of speech recognition technology. The Dragon Systems Volume Licensing Program, based upon standard industry licensing models, awards points to organizations that purchase software licenses, maintenance contracts, or upgrades through one of the more than 2,000 Dragon Systems reseller partners. Organizations can license a number of Dragon Systems products through the program, including Dragon NaturallySpeaking Enterprise products and the Dragon Systems USB solutions, both of which were announced today (see related announcements).
Customers accumulate those points in order to qualify for participation in one of five discount levels. Organizations establish their discount level with their initial order and receive the discount with the first purchase and on subsequent purchases for one year. There are no minimum reorder requirements and the customer's discount level is reviewed annually. Customers can purchase any combination of products and services to achieve various discount levels and are not required to enter a contract at any time.

The Dragon Systems' Volume Licensing Program is a flexible site licensing program that makes it easier to acquire and maintain Dragon Systems speech recognition products. The program assigns a point value to each product or service available through the program. The Dragon Systems Volume Licensing Program is open to all Dragon Systems VARs and resellers. VARs and resellers purchase products from Dragon Systems authorized distributors. Dragon Systems works with VARs to track point levels for all customers.

- Dragon NaturallySpeaking Call Center Edition,
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking Enterprise,
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking Enterprise Professional,
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking Enterprise Medical,
- Dragon NaturallySpeaking Enterprise Legal,
- Dragon NaturallyClear™ USB System H100,
- The Dragon NaturallyMobile™ Recorder Option Kit,
- Several high-quality noise-canceling headset microphones, and
- Multiple maintenance and service agreements.
Dragon Systems will add new products and solutions to the program, as they become available.
