EDITING A LEDGER CARD

The ledger card window presents a variety of features to allow control over various aspects of a patient's ledger. By clicking on the Edit button in the toolbar, the dentist, guarantor and fee guide can be modified (see screenshot below).

In the middle of the window, there are several fields which indicate the balance of the account. Current refers to funds owed in the current month, 30 to 60 refers to any amount owed since thirty to sixty days ago, and so on.

Balances

Accounts can be aged in the Accounts Receivable window. To age accounts, choose the menu item MIRROR » Administration » AR to bring up the AR menu. Next, choose Accounts Receivable under the AR menu, then click on the Age Accounts button in the toolbar of the resulting window. This will age all accounts by one month (thirty days).

Any invoice, credit or debit listed in the invoice window can be dealt with by double-clicking on its name. (For more information about working with invoices or credit or debit adjustments, continue reading.)

In addition to the New, Edit, Cancel and Confirm buttons, there are several other features accessible through the toolbar. Mostly, these buttons allow you to input various transactions into a patient's ledger card. Click here for a more detailed description of these transactions.

Patient ledgers are electronic records of payment and debt.

CREATING A NEW LEDGER

To create a new ledger, click on the button while in the patient's ledger list window.

ADDING THE PATIENT TO AN EXISTING LEDGER

More than one patient can be assigned to a ledger card. To do so, click the button in the patient's ledger list window.

DISASSOCIATING A PATIENT FROM A LEDGER

To remove a patient from a ledger card, select the ledger to remove the chosen patient from in the ledger list window. Then, click the button in the toolbar.
