Glad to see there were only a handful of "chrome plated" parts in this kit.

When painting the signal and taillight lens, I used Tamiya's X27 Clear Red and X26 Clear Orange paints on the inside of the clear parts. This gives a very realistic look to the lens.

The shocks are built using real springs provided in the kit. However the suspension is not functional. The engine has amazing detail: carburetors, spark plugs and wires, airbox, clutch cable, etc.

I wanted a metallic red paint job like the factory bike. Can't tell in the pictures, but I mixed one part of X7 Red and one part X11 Chrome Silver to achieve a metallic red finish.

This is an excellent kit for someone thinking of trying a motorcycle kit.
