Since real motocross bikes have plastic body pieces for durability and reduced weight, I did not paint the fenders or front and side numbers. I just cleaned them up and then polished them with Turle Wax Polishing Compound for a more realistic look. Only the fuel tank is painted gloss white.
The chain has excellent link detail that really stands out when a black wash was put over the gold of the chain. Also washed the engine.
Close up showing the drilled out slots in the front brake disc. I used X-11 Chrome Silver to paint on 'hose clamps" on all the radiator hoses.
