There was a lot of experience gathered with the previous models of the
switch and the new release 2.0 has been fundamentally redesigned in order
to meet the requirements.
The changes are extensive both to hardware and firmware.
There are now many new microprocessor control
functions added to the switch firmware. The result is more reliable
operation and the switch ability to recover from unexpected problems
such as intermittent cabling connection.

The switch allows to control up to 8 AT computers from a single keyboard and monitor.
No software is required.
Push button and keyboard switching is possible.
Each channel contains a dedicated microprocessor that emulates keyboard while the real keyboard is
connected to another computer. The switch will boot all 8 machines at the same time.
Installation can be done live without powering down computers.

Switching during boot is controlled by the microprocessor and does not
cause problems, the switch button can be toggled any time.

All keyboard multiplexing is now done electronically instead of relays.
Contact bouncing is therefor
eliminated.
