So far there are no known situations that the switch should lock or misbehave. Those problems will be listed in this paragraph when someone signals them.
However:
Prolonged intermittent connection of the keyboard cable between the computer and the switch can lock the computer in the same way as if it was done with a keyboard.
Please ensure that the keyboard is compatible with the PC s connected to the switch. If the keyboard is incompatible with PCs connected to the switch then it may not work through the switch either.
Some cabling is known to cause problems because of particularly thick plastic cover. That does not fit well into the cut outs. This may cause intermittent contacts. Keyboard cable connectors should not have a thicker plastic cover then 1/2” diameter at the front.
There are internal reset circuits that reset the port each time the cable is connected to it or disconnected. In order to reset one of the switch ports remove the keyboard connection with the computer for a few seconds and plug it back. The switch should recognize the computer presence within 30s.
