A great opportunity exists for you to join one of Canada's growing South African community organizations.
While SAWW has been serving the South African-Canadian community, there's always a new reason to join. Maybe you're looking to have some fun, would like to join us in embracing South African women who have made a difference, meet interesting and influential people, support educational programs for disadvantaged students,  expose your services or business,  or just simply to give back to the community.

Networking
The SAWW events are the most talked about social and business occasions in our community. The annual South African Women for Women Awards Ceremony draws many interested individuals from various aspects of business, women’s issues, South African related issues and from the Canadian and South African communities at large. These are incredible opportunities for you to market yourself, your products or services.

Exposure
The SAWW has an extensive mailing list consisting of the professional community, women’s issues,  governmental entities and companies doing business in South Africa.   This list includes members and supporters of our events over the past two years. Our mailing lists are requested from various reputable organizations and corporations when dignitaries visit Canada in order for the individuals on our mailing/members to be invited to these prestigious events.

Rewarding Excellence
The South African Women’s Day Awards recognize ten members annually of our community at a gala ceremony attended by  growing numbers from among the community.

Providing Educational Support
Education is the cornerstone of a strong community. Part of your membership fee is used to provide scholarships to deserving young people in our community. This year SAWW gave funds to five well deserving students to assist them in pursuing their education. The SAWW also sponsor programs such as the Teacher’s Mentoring Program through which we were able to send Canadian teachers to South Africa  to introduce new teaching skills and support teachers. This initiative is a first for SAWW and is designed to specifically respond to the needs identified in the South African schools.

Providing Leadership, Opportunities and Referrals
We want your application forms  for our deserving database which we make available to Municipal, Provincial and Federal governments, local businesses for consideration for networking opportunities. We also refer people to the services and products of our members.
