This window displays specifics about procedures and allows them to be edited (see screenshot below).
First, click on
in the toolbar if you wish to enter a new procedure into the database. Otherwise, click on
to modify the procedure shown.
The first item of business will be the procedure code. This is entered into the Code field and is used by the program to determine the category that the procedure falls in to. Procedure codes should contain five digits.
Once the code is completed, the program will prompt for the fee guide to associate this procedure with. Associating a procedure with a fee guide will allow it to be listed with different prices in different guides. Fee guides act as categories into which procedures are entered. When a certain fee guide is in use, only the procedures entered under it will be accessible.
When the fee guide has been chosen, enter the procedure's description into the Description field.
The pricing of the procedure is determined in the group of fields marked, Price. Enter the R-value and T-value into the appropriate fields, and then the final price charged into the field, Fee.
The bottom of the window contains for check boxes. The first one, Tooth, indicates that this procedure wil ask for a tooth number every time it is entered into an invoice. Similarly, the next field, Surface, indicates that the program will ask for a surface number every time the procedure is entered.
The Recall check box indicates that this procedure will be a recall procedure. This means that every time it is performed (i.e. an invoice is recorded with this procedure), another appointment for it will be automatically set up in the patient's recall entry. (For more information about the patient recall, see Recall under the Patient menu item.) The Fast List check box will determine whether this procedure will show up under a Fast List (For more information about Fast List, see above PROCEDURE LIST).
This feature keeps track of procedure performed at the site, including costs, bills and analysis.
