Try the printing exercise
as seen at AMAzing Space at the Albany Museum
of Art. The "real" one uses rubber stamps in 4 colours.
Click the
buttons to view each coloured stamp. Double click
to remove it from the "print"
The printing process involves precise placement
of several one colour images in order to
complete a multicoloured image. This demonstration shows how printing
works on a
simplified level.
An art work by Mose Tolliver from the museum collection was simplified
and reproduced
as a series of rubber stamps for this activity. The visitor keeps
the card they print.
I found this clover while playing
soccer
(actually, we were waiting for the person with the ball).
This hasn't got alot to do with my portfolio other than it shows
I have a life.
I have a nice garden too.
This steel horse body for AMAzing Space was a fun
exercise in geometry. A carved foam model was converted to a flat
pattern which was then used to fabricate a sheet steel form. This
form became the base of a sculpture activity which uses interchangeable
soft sculpture components with magnets.
