A second Ninja Tune single from trip-hop producer Mr. Scruff, previewing his upcoming full length Keep In Unreal. You may know him for his remixes of Nightmares on Wax, Lamb and Red Snapper, or his releases on Cup Of Tea, Echo Drop and Grand Central. This time, he's out-spotting the Ninja Tune jazzers by digging up some very old school voice and trumpet bytes for his jumping "Get A Move On!" In short and long versions of the tune, snappy snares and hi hats create a pleasant rhythmic frame for Mr. Scruff's nicely orchestrated hip swinging jive. A second highlight is the funky drumming meets electro "Do You Hear?" that mixes perfectly with Levi's wearing Mr. Oizo's equally infectious "Monday Massacre." Mr. Scruff also loves that funky bass synth stuff, contrasting its raw sound with classy string section samples and a jazzy female vocal hook. And if you really need more, there is the Funki Porcini-ish jazz of "Ambiosound," which utilises another one of those hilarious '60s sound system demonstration discs: "That really is good value, don't you think?"
