Risque voice samples and sleazy beats come together in this erotically-charged aural compilation. (There will be a DVD version too, which probably comes in a brown paper bag). Howie's Japanese colleagues, Major Force and Kensuke Shiina reveal themselves to be lounge fetishists, as the fun begins to an easy listening soundtrack. Guest import Fantastic Plastic Machine also produces a dreamy bit of cinematic loungedelica as he peaks behind the "Green Door." Howie himself makes the scene in his Daddylonglegs alter ego, procuring a mellow '70s vibe and leftfield Moog sounds for his "Atomic Fuck Machine." The Wall Of Sound label's Deadly Avenger moves in on the Daddy's territory with a strings and funky breaks track "In Pursuit Of The Pimp Mobile." And the main feature begins in Skylab's Matt Ducasses' collaboration with the funky Tim Love Lee, "Live From The Clermont Lounge," when one of the ladies of the evening steps up to tell a story that becomes the rare groove equivalent of the Velvet Underground's "The Gift." Ouch! Definitely rated for mature hipsters only.
