Howie B and his Daddylonglegs partner Jeremy Shaw (guitar/synth player from Naked Funk) hit the dusty trail in search of the groove on this project's debut. They've had previous tracks out under this name for a long time, and had even threatened to complete a Daddylonglegs album after the release of Howie's first album. Instead Daddylonglegs has only made appearances on vinyl and compilations like Wall Of Pussy, Pussy Galore and Suck It & See.

Now inspired by the gait of a particular lolloping percussive loop, and his daughters' love of horsies, Howie has completed ten new tracks of equine-themed material. Several of the primarily instrumental tracks feature galloping grooves, with the rockin' "Giddy Up" and the funky "Cobbler" racing ahead of the Skylab-ish country & western blues of "When Betty Comes To Town" or "Stallion."

In all the styles of tracks you can hear how the processing of Sly & Robbie's jams has influenced Howie's own tracks, as keyboard, guitar and drum machine parts are all processed, distorted and arranged in creative ways. There's not too many funk posses are able to ride down the grain and the noise like these here hombres.
