The Image Module is the portion of the program that stores and accesses all the images present in a patient's file. This is the window that displays the images.
[To enter a new patient, click
in the toolbar. Then, enter the patient's name and click
to save the new record.]
To refresh the list of images, click the
Build List button.
All images are listed in the bottom portion of the window. To select an image for closer view, double-click on it from this list, or hilite it with the mouse and click the Select button. The window that displays the picture will reflect the type of image stored. The different types of pictures are described below.
To enter a new image, choose the type of image to be entered from the New Images drop-down menu under the patient's name. The differences between each type will be discussed as follows.
BEFORE/AFTER
Use the before/after images to store and compare two shots of a patient taken before and after treatment. Click
in the toolbar to begin a new entry. Next, enter the picture's category [ ] and type in comments or notes in the field to the right.
You can open the designated imaging application by clicking on the [btn] button in the toolbar.
Next, to enter images, click in either the Before or After picture fields and paste or import a picture. Click on the
button to save your changes. Note that the manner in which images are entered is the same throughout all different types of image records.
To view a larger version of either image, click on the magnifying glass
button next to either picture field to display that image in a separate window.
THUMBNAILS
Thumbnails contain eight small images [of the patient's situation]. Paste one picture into each picture field.
PORTRAIT
A portrait stores a single, larger image.
COSMETIC
This is a before and after-type record of the [state of the teeth both prior to and following cosmetic treatment].
PROFILE

BITEWINGS
Bitewing radiographs are a series of eight small pictures [].
PERIAPICAL
These are a series of four small pictures [].
PANOREX
The panorex contains one large shot [encompassing all teeth].
FULL SERIES
