How Do I...?

This menu item will bring up a list of all active treatment plans at the office. The following window is presented.

Scrn: Active Treatment Plans

In the middle of the window, there is a list of all active plans. To view the details on an item of the list, either double-click on the item or choose it from the list and hit Select. Note that the list can also be sorted according to last name or date. To sort the list, click on the heading that you wish to sort by.

The Total column indicates how much the plan, including all procedures involved, will cost. The Remaining column shows the cost of all the procedures that have yet to be completed. The sum of the Total column is shown in the Total field at the bottom of the window, and the sum of the Remaining column is shown in the Remaining field.

BUTTON DESCRIPTIONS

ICON FUNCTION
Click on this button to re-build the list. This will cause the list to be updated and any recent modifications will be shown.
This button will display an analysis of the procedures involved in the treatment plans. It will show how often each type of procedure appears in the treatment plans. This is the window that is displayed.

Scrn: Tx Plan Analysis

Enter the date to begin counting procedures into Start Date and the date to finish in End Date. Any procedures involved in treatment plans that occur between these two dates will be listed.

The Provider option will cause the list to display only the procedure that are associated with a specific provider. To display the results from all providers, leave this option on All.

Once the information is set, click on the Start button. This will begin the count.

Each heading in the list represents a procedure type. The number of procedures that fall in that type are listed in the Count row, under the appropriate heading. The cost of all procedures that are of the same type is listed in the Amount row.

The total cost of all procedures is listed in Total Amount.

To obtain a list of every single procedure performed, the number of times it was performed and the cost of the procedure, click the Detail button. However, if you wish to view a breakdown of only procedures of a single type, click on the heading that corresponds to the type. For example, to view a list of every single procedure involved in the time period that would be classified as "miscellaneous," click on the Misc heading in the list.

This is the window that appears.

Scrn: Procedure Type Analysis

The procedure code is listed under Procedure. Under the # heading, the number of occurrences of that procedure is shown. The procedure's description and cost are displayed under the appropriate headings.

This button will display insurance information about the patient whose treatment plan is selected in the list. (For more information about insurance, see Insurance under the Patient menu item.)
This button will display a window indicating the total amount of insurance each patient with an active treatment plan has, along with the amount remaining in the treatment plan. This window is presented.

Scrn: Unused Insurance Benefit Analysis

The Min. Insurance field serves as a filter for the list. This will cause the resulting entries to contain only patients that have more than this amount of insurance remaining. The Min. Tx. Plan field serves as a similar filter, only for the cost of the treatment remaining.

When you are ready to display the list, click the Build List button in the toolbar of this window. Also, if you modify the Min. Insurance or the Min. Tx. Plan filter fields, click on this button to update the list to those specifications.

Also in this window, the button will display the patient letter to patients who have treatments remaining in their plans. (For more information about letters, see Administration » Letters.)

PLANNED TREATMENT

This contains information pertaining to the Planned Treatment menu item.

Displays a list of all recall appointments that the office is expecting.
