How Do I...?

The patient's insurance information is stored in this record (see screenshot below).

To edit the patient's insurance record, click the Edit button.

The Insurance field contains the name of the insurance company that the patient is associated with. A pop-up list will appear, filled with insurance company names as set in [].

The Minor Benefits section indicates the amount covered by the insurance company for minor dental work. Enter the amount into the Yearly Amount field and the percentage that the insurance company pays into the %Paid field. The Recall option sets the time until the patient's next visit. The Perio option controls the amount of units covered by the patient's insurance company for minor benefits.

The To Date field shows how much of the insurance has been used so far in minor benefits.

The Major Benefits window shows the amount that the patient is allotted per year for any major benefits. The %Paid field controls the percentage of all major benefits covered by the insurance.

The To Date field shows how much of the insurance has been used so far in major benefits.

The Prosthetics check box indicates that the patient is authorized for dental prosthetics coverage under their current policy. The Orthodontics check box indicates that they are covered for orthodontic treatment.

At the bottom of the window, enter any comments or notes.
