Hello!! My name is Sophie MacCallum. I'd like to welcome you to this web site and tell you a little of the strange journey that has brought me here. Firstly let me say, I am a MacCallum and proud of it!! My father, Charles, is a genuine 'dyed in the wool' Scot - although, for reasons better known to himself, he married a French woman - and passed the MacCallum name on to me 28 years ago. There are lots of MacCallums dotted around England and Scotland and, I have since discovered, the United States of America. We are proud of our historical links and have no fear in expressing those links through use of the many varieties of MacCallum clan tartan. If you then consider that, within the main clan tartan, there are variations as diverse as types for hunting, formal and weddings, you can begin to see the fascination the subject holds for me.
