Witchcraft Level I - Unearth the Inner Witch This 7 week series of classes will teach the basic structure of practicing magic in the Celtic Faery Tradition of Witchcraft. The five directions and elements will be explored both from a theoretical and an experiential perspective. Through visualization, meditation and ritual work, the students will learn to understand the directions and elements in order to create sacred space and cast a circle. This course will enable students to build an appropriate altar, understand the meaning behind each of the altar tools and participate in the consecration ceremony of their tools of magic. In addition, information will be discussed regarding the philosophy, ethics and politics of this earth-based spirituality. Finally, the art and skill of candle magic will be taught, as students delve into the practice of spellcrafting. This class will be exciting, fun and creative as well as an opportunity for self-growth, self-awareness and healing. The exploration of our inner landscape, through visualization and meditation and the exploration of the outer landscape, through ritual work, will give the students a wholistic knowledge of the practice of magic. They will leave with a renewed sense of connection to the earth and her cycles, to other people and to themselves.
