Lyne Tremblay!
Jazz!

Jazz!

Lyne Tremblay sings in a sultry, torchy, euro-jazz style.

Her first set is simply elegant in silky gown with 'Wave', 'Peel Me a Grape' and 'Comment Allez-Vous'. Her repertoire is an eclectic mix from Kern, Piaf and Antonio Carlos Jobim. The second is more dramatic and fun in a cabaret theme; bowler hat and vest, with 'All That Jazz', 'La Vie en Rose' and 'The Heel' as her European background pokes fun at a few icons. Then she gets darker in tone with 'Thursday' and 'Lilli Marlene'.

Her voice has been compared to Uta Lemper and Astrid Gilberto, but in fact she has a style all her own. Her physical presence informs every song with an extensive background in dance and musical theatre.

Lyne's accompaniment is also unique as Denis Keldie moves easily from piano to accordion to banjo. She provides a memorable evening in music.
