Lyne Tremblay!
Cabaret!

You enter and settle in with your wine and your cigar, amid the low strains of Miles Davis' "Sketches of Spain" or edgy Louis Armstrong. The lighting is low and intimate with table lamps giving off a smoky glow. You settle into an atmosphere reminiscent of an all night cafe in Buenos Aires in the 30's, or a speakeasy in Chicago, or perhaps even the intrigue of a Paris midnight circa 1940.

You are in a nightclub in the tradition of the classic cabaret — intimate, classy, intriguing and sparkling — with a soupçon of decadence. The style centres on the the performer, Lyne Tremblay and her relationship with the audience.

She mixes elements of music, dance, surprise, humour, and drama in a variety of acts. Itıs a mix that is often as surprising to the performer as to the audience.

One thing is certain....it will never be performed the same way twice.

On the stage, you see a black grand piano, a red rose in a vase, a black chair, a black screen, a fedora, and a red feather boa draped carelessly...

The pianist arrives in tails, and beret. He plays a flourish...then she appears...a beautiful woman dressed in a style identified with a different era....her voice evokes the hazy jazz clubs of Europe...she moves with the grace and range of the greatest of the cabaretıs anonymous expatriate divas.

She is Lyne Tremblay.

She sings with a message:

"Live for the 'now'; as if each moment of your life was a work of art. Do your dream....and make it real"

You hear that message, in all its layers, confirmed with each song as she guides you through the highlights of Cabaret, where new ideas and passion collide in a celebration of life.

You feel uplifted. The message stays with you long after. It fills your mind. It adds a certain 'je ne sais quoi' to wines and wishes of the celebrations.
