In 1989, The Audio Visual Works Limited incorporated Ruthless Design Limited to manufacture unique products and designs. Ruthless Design Limited produced a greeting card line consisting of 50 designs, as well as T-shirts and sweat shirts, using old logos from the 1920's and 1930's which we acquired through research at The National Archives in Ottawa (defunct logos are public domain). In addition, we manufactured a coffee filter holder in 12 designs and colours. Ruthless Design is a registered Trade Name and is a registered Trade Mark Logo. This company is the design division for, and owned by, The Audio Visual Works Limited. Ruthless Design Limited was originally set up to provide design services -- to The A.V. Works -- and manufacture products. The company's interesting name is derived from one of the original artists -- Ruth Stanners -- who was a designer for The A.V. Works for eight years.
