As the first employee of Communique Ltd. in 1981, Robert Greenwald Ginsberg had a mandate to build the finest production company in the business. Communique consisted of a strong team -- Tony Chapman, President, Andrew Crighton, Executive Vice-President/Creative Director, and Robert Greenwald Ginsberg, Vice-President, General Manager -- who built the company into a powerful force in the A.V. industry, selling, producing and writing some of the most dynamic, innovative and profitable presentations in Canada. Robert Greenwald Ginsberg managed all production departments. His positions included: Camera Manager, Camera Operator and Instructor. His responsibilities included: assisting the Art Dept. in design and techniques; managing all dockets and profit margins, quality control, production schedules; hiring and training staff, staff evaluations; administrative duties; purchasing all production equipment and supplies; visual producer/designer; and the execution of all production requirements.
With an extensive knowledge of the A.V. industry, Robert left Communique in February, 1985, to start his own company. At the A.V. Works, his skills and responsibilities expanded to include managing the overall company and producing, directing, and designing all the multi-image, multimedia and video programs, as well as client acquisition and liaison. For the past fifteen years, The A.V. Works has produced some of the largest shows in Canada, over 500 A.V./Video shows and service contracts.
