Fathead - APPEARING IN DECEMBER.
The Juno Award winning band FATHEAD is a soulful group of veteran musicians who have individually been plying their trade for over twenty-five years. A true ensemble, each player's experience in roots and blues music contributes to the distinctive sound heard on their acclaimed 1995 recording debut Fathead which was named one of the Top Five Albums Of The Year at the 1996 Westcoast Blues Awards. In 1997, the band received the prestigious Jazz Report Award for Blues Group of The Year. For more information Click here.
Little Bobby and The Jumpstarts - had them dancing in the aisles at Boomerz on Feb.12 '00. This Toronto band has been together just over two years and it was thier first time in town. The crowds loved them. A quick tour of the clubs showed a slow night for most but Boomerz had a full house. Little Bobbie brought along his case of harps and "blew" the crowd away. Gary Kendall (bass for Downchild) joined them for the night. For more information Click here.
Anthony Gomes
Known for his searing guitar playing, soul-drenched vocals and dynamic live performances, Anthony Gomes has quickly established himself at the forefront of a new generation of blues artists. "Anthony Gomes puts it right in your face with a furious guitar and a high energy style," writes the Suncoast Blues Society, "…this is no wanna-be here." For more information click here.

Mark May
"Mark May is One Of The Best New Blues-Rock Artists to come along in years. With great Singing/Songwriting and Guitar Playing, he reminds me of everyone from Albert Collins to Stevie Ray to Carlos Santana. Hell, I even heard a couple of my licks in there. I was blown away!" --Dickey Betts For more information Click Here.

Nigel Mack
"From Chicago to New York to his hometown of Vancouver bluesman Nigel Mack is a triple threat. His mixture of Chicago, delta and funk blues has been wowing audiences across North America" -Vancouver Jazz Festival Guide
"... totally impressive... Nigel's wicked slide guitar & harp; ... keyboards and rhythm sections were immaculate. I went through a lot of film that night..." Barry Newman, Cosmic Debris Visit his Official Website.

Downchild Blues Band
Donnie Walsh named his band from a song by blues singer, songwriter and harmonica player Sonny Boy Williamson; his other early heroes included Elmore James and Muddy Waters. More than twenty five years later, Walsh remains one of the most enthusiastic musicians to be found anywhere - on the rare occasions when he's not fronting a Downchild gig, he can be found sitting in with friends - and he has 'em in dozens of towns and cities in Canada and the United States.
