Gene Williams' home page

GENE WILLIAMS- continues the legacy of creative energy that has made New York's, Jamaica, Queens famous. Having toured, recorded and performed with Roberta Flack, Chaka Khan, Freddie Jackson, Ashford and Simpson, Barrio Boyzz, Lester Bowie, Nat Adderley Jr, Repercussions, Cissy Houston, Cory Glover and numerous others, Gene's keyboard approach ranges from Jazz, Fusion to Funk and Rock. Touring nationally and internationally (including: Germany, Turkey, Bangkok and several trips to Japan), Gene now enters the world of Acid Jazz with his World Alert records debut CD, "WELCOME 2 MY WORLD" and offers new original grooves that blend 2 of America's most original artforms; Hip Hop and Jazz. .
A visit to this site is highly recommended. Gene gives you sound bites off his new CD, and talks about his musical background and styles.
Monster Magnet home page
"Monster Magnet's fourth album DOPES TO INFINITY is the mother lode for those who crave maximum psychedelic overload. Jammed with leftover Black Sabbath riffs, Butthole Surfers-style bombast and pseudo-comic hokum. Dopes is simultaneously sublime and ridiculous. Go ahead and crank it - a blown speaker is a small price to pay for an experience this. uh. mind-bending." (courtesy Entertainment Weekly 3/24/95 )
The Headstones
Here's a page for my favourite Canadian group The Headstones. Just go ahead and buy their first album "Picture of Health", you won't regret it. "This hard driving debut album features singer Hugh Dillon, one of the "darkest forces" in Canadian rock, peppered with hints of Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and Lou Reed." (Avalanch Records)
The Tea PartyHere's the fan page for my second favourite Canadian group (after the Headstones). Check them out, highly recommended. Their second album "the edges of twilight" is killer metal - Read the review

The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets
The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets come from Chilliwack, BC, Canada. Their first CD "CTHULHU STRIKES BACK" is out via Cargo Records. A quote from the band:
"The Darkest of the Hillside Thickets have been performing unwholesome punky surf tunes for three years now, and they still don't know what they're doing. But that's okay, because they're a group of lovable Cthulhu-worshipping fanatics who know how to put on a show and get into your pants with great riffs and weird, some might say revolutionary, feats of rock and roll."Anyone into H.P. Lovecraft will want to check out their home page for information about the band, and reviews of their music.
Gannin
Gannin has just released his new CD entitled "One" and invites you to visit his home page. The page contains downloadable sound clips and a journal about the production of the CD and upcoming events. This page is well worth a visit.
