This tool can be used to verify the operation of a second ROM chip that has been added to a Palm device. Such a modification can be made to either an SRAM based Palm III module, or a TRG Xtra Xtra module.

Install the chkrom4m.prc file on your Palm device. When you run it, it will prompt you to copy the entire first ROM to the second one. Once done, it will do a byte-for-byte comparison of the contents of the two chips, and report if it was successful or not.

There is a small bug when run with OS 3.3. The speaker will emit a buzzing noise while the second ROM is being written. This is annoying, but harmless.

Do NOT run this tool if you have run FPSetup after installing the second chip!

The PRC file is available HERE.
