RANDY GLYNN

Randy started dancing late in life just before he turned 25 in 1975 and within two and a half years was on stage in New York City with the Danny Grossman Company. He danced for 10 years with that company as a featured dancer touring all over the world. In 1987 his own company, the Randy Glynn Dance Project, made its debut at Toronto€s Premiere Dance Theatre. Since then he has made over twenty dances for his own company and others. The company has toured Canada often and appeared at its share of festivals and galas. Randy has won the Clifford E. Lee award for choreography and has been nominated for a Dora Mavor Moor Award.

Randy trained in Toronto, Halifax and New York City. In !980 he auditioned for and was accepted into the world famous Pilobolus Dance Company but declined to continue working and choreographing in Toronto.

In addition to teaching the private classes Randy has taught conventional technique in Canada, Europe and Central America. He also teaches and choreographs regularly at Ryerson University in Toronto. Randy also developed a modern dance partner class that he has taught at Concordia in Montreal, Ryerson University and at the Toronto dance Theatre.
