APPLICATION TO APPEAR AS A WITNESS BEFORE

Requests to be a witness before the Special Senate-Commons Committee

Your written request should indicate the following;

that you wish to appear as a witness before the Special Senate Commons
Committee on custody and access following separation and divorce;

indicate your interest, concerns, knowledge, experience, and expertise
on these issues, and the subject matter you wish to address in your testimony;

indicate why you would be a good witness, and why the Committee should
choose you or your organization;

include your full name, address, home and work telephone numbers, and which
number you can be most easily reached.
Upon receipt of your request, the Joint Clerk will advance your request
to the Special Senate-Commons Committee. The Members of the Special Committee
will then decide which witnesses will appear. The Joint Clerk will advise
you of that decision in writing or by telephone, and also the date, time,
and location where you should appear.
A witness' expenses may be paid at the discretion of the Special Committee.
You may inquire of the Joint Clerk about the possibility of payment of
expenses in your instance.
