Japanese suite of armour.
Suji Kabuto: the bowl of this fine helmet is of Goshozan form and made up from twelve russet steel plates. The style suggests that this was a Myochin smith working in Kaga provinve, possibly during the seventeenth century Momoyama period.
Ni-mai-do(two section) is of iron plates covered extermnally with black lacquer done in a swirling cloud patten. Iron shoulder protection, Iron Kote (arms protection), leather Haidate (thighs protection), iron Suneate (knee-guards) and a storage box with red family crest design.
