In this mode the card buffers and transmitts the message line (24th or any factory preset line) and the command line if so configured to the automation system. In this mode the card operates in a similar way as if it was configured as a printer port data transmitter. The advantage of using this mode is that the messages arrive to the Automation with their original attributes and can be viewed in colour from the same feed.
The mode could be useful in place of a printer port data transmitter should that port be unavailable in the PC console for whatever reason. The assumption is that each message appears exactly once on line 24th. At least 100 messages can be buffered and sent. In this mode the EPIS card ignores any other updates to the screen other then to the message line thus accomplishing much faster processing then a in a full screen viewer mode.
If the messages are to be viewed on the emulator screen then scrolling should be handled by the emulator. The command line is to be "on" in this case so the operator can see his own typing otherwise it is to be "off". The command line can be activated with the switch.
