SW3 is not shown above. It can be found close to the connectors.

S1-1 and 1-2 Two methods of flow control can be independently set. For higher speeds hardware flow control is recommended. During first time installations it is often helpful to disable flow control. Otherwise there may be no transmission.
S1-3 and 1-4 There are 4 selectable serial communication speeds available: 9600 19200 28800 and 57600 bps. Some automation systems power up with 9600bps. If 19.2kbps or higher speed is set on EPIS then the communication speed may need to be changed manually in the automation system after power up and also after software module reset.
S2-1 and 4-3. These switches determine the EPIS mode of operation. The S2-1 switch Is enabled only in message line mode. Otherwise it should be disabled. The rest of the screen is not transmitted. Command line can also be displayed along with the message line with S2-2 enabled. The S4-3 switch activates the printer data transmission. In this mode the card sends a copy of what is printed on the printer. S2-1 setting is ignored.
S2-2 This switch allows to send the command line along with the message line while in message line mode, S2-1 on. It is to be disabled in full screen mode.
S2-3 PC Video characters hex 80-FF (128 to 256) are not supported by VTxxx protocols and should be disabled in this case. Those characters are then converted into spaces. Otherwise wrong characters may be displayed by the emulator. ANSI PC protocol supports all 256 characters and then this switch can be set to on. Some “VT” emulators also support those characters although they should not.
S2-4 Some video characters hex 0-20 may be interpreted by the emulator as ANSI control characters. In such case the switch should be disabled and those characters are then converted into spaces by the EPIS board.
S3-1 This swtitch selects the extended keyboard mapping mode. It allows to transmit complex key combinations with ctrl alt shift etc but requires a mapping file on the terminal emulator side .
S4-1 and 4-2 Reserved. Should be off.
S4-4
The printer port can be selected from which to transmitt the data.
Ports 1 and 2 are available, with hex address 278 and 378 respectively.
