Viva is one of four Carol Martyn works now in the permanent collection of the National Gallery of Canada.

Three are at the Art Gallery of Kamloops.

Two are in the Air Canada collection.

The Winnipeg Art Gallery has recently acquired Carol Martyn's 1986 canvas, Cancelled Woman

There have been two shows of Carol Martyn's work in 1997:

  • A selection of canvases and drawings from the 1980s and '90s were hung in February at Bau-Xi Gallery, 340 Dundas St. West, Toronto; 416-977-062 (across from the Art Gallery of Ontario)
  • A lifetime retrospective show, curated by Yvonne Lammerich and Milly Ristvedt, was on display in February at the Art Gallery of Peterborough in Peterborough, Ont. (about a 90-minute drive northeast of Toronto) 705-743-9179; this show was hung at The Gallery, Stratford, Ont. in the fall of 1995
