Dan playing competitive bridge in 1970’s

Dan Berkley, M.Eng., P.Eng., is a Canadian professional consulting engineer who made a passion for bridge more than 35 years ago, during his first years of engineering.

Besides practicing his profession, over the years Dan found time to run bridge clubs, organize bridge competitions, play and teach bridge online and offline. His focus is on "beginners", teaching Standard American “5-card major” and a simplified version of Blue Club.

His book "Bridge - The Beginner's Guide" came into being from a set of lessons he prepared some years ago for his daughter, Christina. Thus, the book is written in a simple, straight-to-the-point style. It is addressed to anyone who wants to learn bridge or polish their game quickly and easily, from children to retirees.
