What is Na'amat

Na'amat is the acronym of the Hebrew words, Nashim Ovdot Umitnadvot, meaning Movement of Working Women and Volunteers. Founded in Palestine in 1921, and established in North America (originally as Pioneer Women) in 1925, Na'amat's goal has always been to develop social support services for women and their families in Israel. Na'amat membership in Israel represents a true cross-section of the population, including Jews, Muslims, Christians, Druze, and Circassians. With the support of 100,000 members in 14 other countries, Na'amat strives for the advancement of the woman and her family.
