Arnold Hagerman was a Hessian Soldier who fought with Brunswick troops under General Burgoyne and was captured with him. He later escaped and joined Butler's Rangers at Niagara Falls. He married Elizabeth Ryerson, brother of a Joseph Ryerson (UE).Elizabeth was born 1760 and died 1834. Arnold came to Upper Canada in 1786. He settled on Lot 12 Con.4 Clinton Township, Lincoln County Ontario.
