     By  definition, aqua culture is the practice of culturing any fish or plant in fresh, 
brackish, or marine water.  Modern methods of  fish farming are through 
* Cages anchor to the bottom of  a river or lake bed, or any body of water where the a constant 
change of water can occur.  This method is the more popular technique used world wide.
* Tanks or raceways.
* Pens or enclosures are manmade forms of trapping or redirecting natural water flows into 
excavated basin.

Large numbers of species are cultivated today.
