Janet Freedman B.Sc., C.F.P., R.F.P., P.R.P., is president of Finance Matters Ltd., a fee only financial consulting business. Educated in England, her professional background includes financial management, charitable fundraising, crisis counselling, public relations, teaching and tax return preparation prior to entering the financial planning profession in 1984. She is an honours graduate of the Canadian Institute of Financial Planning, a member of the Canadian Association of Financial Planners the Canadian Association of Pre-Retirement Planners and the Social Investment Organization. She is seen and heard regularly in the media and is frequently quoted in Financial Post magazine, the Globe & Mail, the Toronto Star, Report on Business magazine, IE Money and was the financial columnist on CBC Radio's "Later the Same Day."
