QUESTION: How can I adjust a Timer so it can handle both HEAVY and LIGHT sludge loading?
ANSWER: You CAN'T.
REASON: Sludge loading varies widely from:
  • Day/Night
  • Weekday/Weekend
  • Winter/Summer
  • Rain/No Rain
  • Regular Working Day/Holiday
  • Site specific reasons at your facility
SOLUTION: Control desludge pumps by Sludge Blanket Level, NOT by Timers.
  1. Desludge only when the level gets too high.
  2. Turn off the desludge pump before it pulls a core hole and pumps water.
  3. If desludging is not required, then DON'T PUMP!
    Timers can't do this. IMPOSSIBLE.
