Africa Christian Ministries has been developed under the leadership of Isaiah and Mercy Mafu from South Africa.
Isaiah and Mercy entered the United States in 1979 to further their education. Isaiah had previously served for six years as a hospital chaplain and an ordained minister in the Evangelical Church of South Africa. Rev. Mafu graduated from William Tyndale College in 1985 and completed his Masters in Educational Leadership at Eastern Michigan University in 1990. Mercy graduated from a baccalaureate program in nursing at Madonna College in 1990. The Mafu's have two children, Ndumiso and Ziphozomusa who were born in the U.S.
Isaiah and Mercy returned to South Africa in 1990. They are committed to serving the South African people. Africa Christian Ministries (ACM) has proven to be a powerful vehicle for meeting the urgent spiritual and physical needs of South Africans of all races. ACM currently reaches over 1000 children each week in schools and Bible classes. Programs for adults are also growing. ACM is a dynamic witness for Jesus Christ in a country reeling from apartheid wounds.
