The founder and principal designer of one of Canada's foremost recording facilities, Manta Sound Company, in 1971, Andrew ('Andy') has been working in the Music Industry for the past 30 years. A professional musician (formal training at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto on string bass, classical guitar and composition), record producer, recording engineer and studio owner/operator, his experience uniquely qualifies him to handle a variety of music production projects with confidence, professionalism, creativity and enthusiasm.
In his capacity as one of Canada's top engineer/producers, Andy has engineered numerous radio and television commercials, feature film scores (including Norman Jewison's "Moonstruck", Imax films, two-time Gemini nominee, etc.), and album recording projects (four-time Juno nominee, No. 1 Billboard hit single for Dan Hill, "Sometimes When We Touch", " Goya, A Life In Song", produced by Phil Ramone, Oscar Peterson, Hagood Hardy, Danny Brooks, Liona Boyd, Dizzy Gillespie, Moe Koffman, Rob McConnell, Eric Robertson, Doug Riley). Andy has been audio consultant on a number of television shows/films including The Cucumber Show and Today's Special for TVO, the Juno Awards for the CBC (five years) and the Gemini award winning "In the Key of Oscar", for Elitha Peterson Productions/CBC/National Film Board of Canada.
