http://www.dhhs.gov
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is an umbrella organization
of the U.S. federal government, and as such provides a rich source of timely
health-related information from a wide variety of federal agencies. Available
information ranges from news releases to speeches to testimony before the Senate
or Congress, as well as program updates and abstracts or full text of reports
and research. The site is deep, but well organized, with straightforward links
to agencies including the Administration on Aging, the Agency for Health Care
Policy and Research, the Centers for Disease Control, the Food and Drug
Administration, the Health Care Financing Administration (responsible for both
Medicare and Medicaid), the Health Resources and Services Administration, and
the National Institutes of Health.
