Although some services are restricted to members, most of the site is open to the public, with access to news releases and similar advocacy information. The CMA has also moved into online publishing in a significant way. The site is searchable, using the Excite search engine, and access to the CMA publications catalogue, as well as the Canadian Medical Association Journal and other online medical journals and newsletters (some abstracts, some full articles). Databases on policy and Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs) are also available.
