S.S. #19 Special Project |

In 1994, a collection of photographs of the schools, circa 1920’s of London and Middlesex County was started. This collection now totals 125 photographs and is on display in the former London Township School Section #19, Fanshawe School at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. We are still trying to complete this collection. We estimate there are still at least 50 schools to go! If you can help us, please contact us at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. Scroll the list of our missing schools (below) - as you will see some Townships are well represented, other far less so! |
The criteria we are using for display purposes is that the photo should date from prior to 1940, show a large part of the school and be reproducible. Once we have heard from you, we will contact you. If we can use your photo we will arrange pickup, make electronic copies and return the original. We are looking as well for photos of interiors of schoolhouses and of school activities from the same time period. Examples might be Arbour Day and Christmas activities. Photos should be of good enough quality to enlarge. |
